REPRESENTATIVE BARBARA WATSON BLAMES POLITICAL AGENDA FOR MIAMI-DADE SCHOOL BOARD RESTRUCTURING BILL TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, the Florida House of Representatives passed District School Board Membership (CS/CS/HB 307), which restructures the Miami-Dade County School Board to require a countywide election of the chair and vice chair.  It also reduces the number of school board districts from nine to seven, which will jeopardize minority representation on the Miami-Dade School Board.
